PETER the TrumPETER
About the Trumpet-Player:
I call my self a Trumpet - Maniac and I like these shining instruments. I am
in contact with Max & Heinrich Thein
from Bremen in Germany. They build me some great horns. I got a Piccolo, an
D/E-flat-Trumpet, a Corno da Caccia and a Rotary - Valve C - Trumpet. These
Instruments have a very good intonation and sound great.
I am interested in
all things about playing trumpet. So I learned Malte Burbas Method "Teach your
body to play" in a workshop with Malte. Later on I studied with one of Maltes
students. This kind of practicing helped me to improve my endurance and to get a
better high register.
Musical Vita:
I started to play trumpet in a german Posaunenchor(Church
Brasschoir)
1972 Army Band Kassel(Heeresmusikkorps II)
At this time I
began to study with Rodney W. Miller(former student of Vincent Cichovicz and
Adolph Herseth)
1974 University Kassel Musicteacher(Main Instrument: Trumpet,
Teacher: Rodney W. Miller)
